I''ve got a question about large format ink jet printers (or plotters). Is one company''s printer (Epson or HP) better for making fine art ink- jet prints? Are there specific bells and whistles that I should look for? I''ve done some searching on the

internet and the best printer for the budget that I''m to stay within is an HP 500ps. It prints up to 42" wide at 1200/600dpi for both b/w and color. It can also take heavy papers and even canvas. It goes for about $3,800. Anyhow, I would appreciate any suggestions from anyone who knows anything about digital printmaking. Thankyou.

I would suggest HP for normal print job and Epson for professional quality photo printing. I use HP printer which is superior in quality, less expensive and give me perfect results.
