hi i have a picture that was printed by you about 30 years ago its called ans cristian anderson dreams its by the by anne & janet graham johnston
the number on it 389133 it has there signiture on it please can any one give me any information on this picture

The Hans Christian Anderson picture is not (I think) that old.

It was one of a series from about 10-15 years ago and was reproduced in at least one other size: 10" x 8."

As I have said in response to posters who enquired about prints in the immediately-previous posting to the Forum, the Dufex prints are usually produced in a run of at least 3000, which is not to say that all 3000 (or more) of every design sells.

Like postage stamps, values can vary tremendously, but in general they don't REsell for more than their purchase price, but a collector of any given topic will obviously pay whatever he/she can afford to complete a set or satisfy their need to collect!

I was wondering the value of this item, also if i could get some information on it, it would be great, ive had it for a while, and can't find any that are like it.

Are these prints still sold as of 2010? I acquired one today in a sale. It is of a tall ship at sea. I prefer the natural scenes. I also have many of the late actor Lionel Barrymore of a similar genre. And I have three much larger prints by Jean Hardelin of France. Is the printmaking process for all these similar? The latter two are both deceased, though I am not positive about Hardelin.

The Dufex prints ARE still published.

FJ Warren Ltd went out of business in January 2010 but some of the people who were running that company (including their Dufexcrafts range) have formed a company called Dufex Ltd which has acquired all rights to Dufex and also bought Warren's stock from the Receiver.

They are now VERY much back in business and we are handling the Small Order end of things for them.

Some existing designs are already reprinted, a new catalogue is imminent (I have seen it and expect a copy to arrive next week) and they are accepting orders for custom work too.

I would prefer block foil printing and 8x10" Foil Print (Color Mat) in single, multiple color, rainbow color or in a holographic pattern.
