I have two years of experience working with Urbanites and Enkle Systems. A few months experience with Sheet Fed Presses. I would be honored to continue career in the printing industry. Willing to travel heavy, and willing to learn.

Press Operator 1, Triple Stack Goss Urbanite Press
Daily duties include preparation, production run time and clean up. Loading and unloading of newsprint core shafts, moving newsprint rolls, belt paths and flag eyes. Positioning newsprint rolls into Enkle systems, use of catwalks to remove expired newsprint roll shafts and clean up. Walking safely in between units and equipment, making hand registration adjustments using circumferential, differentials and comps. Required to demonstrate safety on the job at all times, lifting heavy objects over 100lbs safely with cheater bars and crewmen’s' assistance. Assisting in mechanical repairs and press operation, webbing the press and making equipment adjustments. Quality reproduction of the printed product, proper discrimination of color and shade match. Replacement of expired ink, by hand dipping and filling of ink troughs. Use of proper ink and water balance application and theories. Timing units, hanging plates and repairing blankets, assisting and learning from senior operators in daily duties. Teaching Enkle operator’s relative theories and concepts of offset printing. Use of mathematical conversions, metric to U.S. standard on a daily basis. Assisting senior operators with setting stripes, and learning concepts of pagination. Electric and propane clamp truck use, propane forklift use, electric and analog pallet jack use, MSDS orientation, safety training, and working safely with chemicals.
The skilled craftsman today has knowledge about the press and process of printing. Precision to use their expertise, products, and tools. The consistency of quality to operate the press and discipline to follow procedures.
