Hi i was just enquiring to see if you know anything about cylinder dent/impact repair so re chroming the whole cylinder is not required. Have you heard of the selective plating method? If so what do you think?

I am not knowledgeable about cylinder repair.
But I often see electro plating specialists filling dents, big damage caused by allen key.
It is very slow process and takes few days to a week depend on scale of damage.
I guess it is much cheaper to repair plating than taking out cylinder and send to factory.
