I have always wanted to be able to make t-shirts for a living. I have been advised that i can now get a young bussiness starters loan from a grants scheme and I need a little advise. I think i can get about £3000 pounds to start me off and am looking to be making T-shirts for local dance nights and bussines. The problem is that i have know idea about what to get or how to go about things. I'm going to be getting onto a graphic design course and also going to try to get onto a screen printing course. What i need to know is if it is possible to set-up a printing work shop in my bassment for £3000 and also what sort of stuff i may need.
I you are able to help me or give me a little advice then it would be very much appreciated.
Your best bet is to save your 3000pounds, and order t shirts from wholesale slik screen shops.Design your own and take the designs to be reproduce.
3000Pounds is not going to get you to much. Do it right. Learn first how slik sreening works, then start your own. Build a customer base. Thats where your money is going to come from.
Do it on your own, never take partners
if you can help it. Fred Cancel
The money is coming from a place called the Princes Trust. The give interst free loans to people under 25 in order to get them started in the world of bussines.
So what you would surgest is doing the designs and then sending them off to be made else where and then selling them to the client.
hi,
what's the situation with your t-shirts now?
funny, i was just looking for info. on the Princes Trust and found this page. I design T-shirts, print them myself and sell to small boutiques.
want to join me? ! or get more info?
